Augustine Rietsema - Chief Executive Officer
Gus is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. He has a background in political campaigns, where he has served in multiple capacities. In 2012 he was a field organizer for the successful reelection effort of U.S. Congressman Bill Owens. In 2014, he served as the Deputy Finance Director for the Aaron Woolf for Congress campaign, where he oversaw the entire individual donor outreach program. He has a personal background in fitness and health, and hopes to compete in weightlifting competitions in the near future.
Alex Meyers - Chief Information Officer
Alex is a graduate of Cornell University's College of Arts and Sciences focusing on Information Science and Entrepreneurism. He started, built and managed social media startup daapr during college. He currently works as a Product Manager at eBay, focusing on Browse, Search Engine Optimization, and Vertical Experiences for both the global website and application. In his spare time, Alex enjoys building web applications, maintaining his personal website, advising young entrepreneurs, and leading an active lifestyle.
Max Tave - Chief Marketing Officer
Max is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and been an entrepreneur since he was young. In high school he started the Meat Club, which celebrated everything meat and annually bought a cows for a rural villages in Africa. At Cornell Max continued to follow his love of meat and entrepreneurship helping start Worthy jerky, where they won student business of the year 2014. In their first 6 weeks of sales Max sold $25,000 in jerky to students and alumni. Max recently gave up his meat endeavors to start MacroFuel (a vegan product) with Gus and Alex where he is the CMO and works on their marketing strategy and sales. In his free time Max loves to cook, catch Pokémon, surf, and play the ukulele.
Charles C. Lee - Chief Science Officer
Charles C. Lee is a hungry food scientist who is always eager to learn many things and likes to try many silly things as his name states C.Lee. He received his B.S. in food science from UW-Madison and he is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Cornell University's food science program, specializing in the health benefits of functional food ingredients. He has experience in consulting product development, F&B startup companies, and restaurants. With his background, he has won multiple national food product development competitions in the U.S.
